Fragrance Review #1

Hi guys
Today I bring you a new thing: a review of my favourite perfume.
I've never been one of those girls who use tons of perfume. Neither one to use perfume every single time I leave my house.
But then I found this little bottle and I can tell you I'm a changed woman (I still don't use tons of perfume but you get it)

This is the Calvin Klein Beauty.
This is my second bottle of it. The first one came with a body milk, which had a fragrance similar to the perfume, but a little more strong.

The smell of the perfume it's very soft and silky. I don't know how to say it but it really smells like perfection and balance. You get a wonderful smell, quite assertive but at the same time it's discrete.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, if someone passes by you wearing this perfume, you would only notice a soft smell. But if you actually take the time to apreciate it, it is just...beautiful. Even the bottle it's quite pretty isn't it? Simple, but cute.

I use it, not everyday, but every week at least. To school, to a lazy sunday or a day in the sun. For me, it fits almost every situation.

The disavantages: It's hard to think of a bad side of this Calvin Klein. Maybe the price. It costs around 85£ and it lasts very little, at least for me.

So from 1 to 10, this perfume gets a 9.

If you have this beauty let me know on the comments.
Please, do tell what's your favourite fragrance.

D.I.Y. Floral Nails

Hi guys
Today I'm doing another D.I.Y. but this time something more related to fashion.

The other day I was walking on the street and I saw a girl with simple, white nails. But one of them had a little glittery flower. I found it quite pretty, but I didn't liked the bling.
So I decided to create something similar, but more discrete and share it with you.

What will you need:

  • Nail Polisher (duh) I had the Maybelline Mini Colorama, color number 70 or Ballerina. I also had one, in a similar color, but from Sephora. I don't know the name or the number sorry
  • Flower paper. You could print them if you find some you like on the Internet. I had some giftwrapping paper that I found just perfect for this
  • Scissors to cut the flowers
  • I had to use tongs so the flowers would stay were I wanted, but it is optional.

First of all, select the flower you want and decided if you want flowers in all your nails or not.
When you decide the ones you want, go ahead and cut them. Try not to choose flowers with many details, because they will be harder to clip and they'll give you a hard time.

After you've organized which flower(s) you want, just paint your nails in a basic color. I've used the Sephora nail polisher because the other one was almost out and I'm kind of saving it.
If you just want a "base" for your flowers then you only need one coating. If you want something more solid and compact, I recommend two or three coatings.

Now, I waited until my nails were dry to put the flowers on top of them because I don't think it's a good idea to do it while they're still a bit wet because the polisher will come out from under the paper. So, just wait.

After it's all good and dry, place the flower and paint the nail one more time (you can use a see through nail polisher for this phase). Have in mind that where you put it is where it will stay. If you move it after you've painted it, it will look messy. Also, you may have a hard time placing the flower. I recommend bending them a little before you place them. This way, they will gain the nail shape and it will be easier.

I was actually happy with the result. They give a cheerful touch and, because the nails are still pretty simple, they aren't ridiculous. And you don't need to use flowers. You can replace them with anything from animals to words or even shoes.
My favourites are the white flower and the raspberry.

Let me know in the comments which one are your favourites and if you'll try them or not. I would love to see your nails.

"Happy Girls Are The Prettiest"

Hi guys
 ♥
So today I had a wonderful day, hanging around with my friends.
And no, when I say hanging around I don't mean on tumblr or on facebook or something like that.
We went outside, bought an ice cream and went to a little market.

The market had things like jewelry, little bags with lavander, hand made soaps and cute notebooks.
It's a market made for small business and, although you need to look really well for them, you do discover some gems.

With my friend Matty, I found a stand with homemade jewelry: small earrings, stud earrings, rings with flowers in resin and necklaces. And the last ones realy caught my attention because they were so cute and...cheesy.
They have inspirational phrases and, lets face it, they're a bit cheesy but they're also really cool.
The lady was really nice. She helped us and changed the strings.

The silver ones are mine, and the others belong to my friend (who by the way, also as a blog http://havetoomuchfreetime.blogspot.pt/ )

Which one is your favourite?

Spring Expectations

Hi everyone.
So the flowers at my house are finally blooming.Spring is at the next corner! Can you believe it?
Finally, is the season of short shorts and skirts. Floral prints, little jackets, sandals and hats.

I can't wait to wear some dresses I bought in the winter. I usually buy them before their time, so they're cheaper. I like to go to Zara, because they have my type of clothing and I think their clothes are well made.
I could live in Zara to be honest.
I'm searching for a jacket like a bolero, a little jacket that I can just put on in case it's a bit cold. But I still haven't found one.

Another thing that I'm excited to see this spring is the make up. A more colourful and cheerful make up, with bright lipsticks and shades.

The pastel colours are also on my "What to except for spring season" list.
I don't own many pastel items. Maybe some basic shirts but I'm hoping to buy something more.

If you have any suggestion, please let me know.
I'm always looking for new stores that aren't too expensive, but have a good quality.

OOTD

I woke up with a will to wear a dress.Strange hum?
In Portugal, where I live, the weather is not so good. It's really windy and kind of raining but still, I felt like using a dress, to light up this depressive Sunday.

The dress is from Zara. This is one of my favourite dresses. It as such a favoring shape, with a high neckline and slightly open back. The tights are dark blue and are from Intimissimi. The boots I don't know were they're from...They're not mine so I don't know were  they are from.
My face is so strange, oh god...
I have the same old Body Shop eye definer and the Nivea mascara... I just find them so appropriate for every occasion. I don't have anything else on my face. No lipstick or concealer.
With such a pretty dress I don't feel like I need that much makeup.

Tell me what you think about it

Simple as it can be

Hi everybody!
My last days have been pretty boring. School-Home-Sports-Home-School.
I'm stuck with a routine that I find stressful and dull. So when the weekend comes around, I feel like changing a bit.
I love hats and simple make up but, most of the time, I feel strange when I wear it on the street and people stare at me. I really need to try to change that.
So today, I put on a light make up, quite a natural style and a beanie, just to mildly change thing up a bit.

My jersey is from Easy Wear and my beanie is from Accessorize.
All I have in my eyes is the Nivea Ideal Revolution mascara and The Body Shop Colourings eyes definer.
I don't know. I think it is pretty simple and everything but I also think that, for a girl like me that only wears mascara on a daily basis, it's just a little bit different but good.
I hope you like it!

D.I.Y. Dreamcatcher

Hi guys. Today, I have tried, for the first time, to make a dreamcatcher.
A friend of mine taught me a while ago and I thought I should give it a try and show you.

You will need:
  • Something circular, like wire or a thin bracelet. I've used a piece of rolled card, which was not the best ideia, I must say
  • Thread. You can use wool or a piece of string
  • Beads. Now, this is optional. If you want, you can leave your dreamcatcher simple. I added beads but you can use feathers or fake flowers
  • Scissors to cut the string.

The basic stitch is very simple, and I found an image that explains it in a good way

My main advise at this stage is that you have to be sure everything is secure and tight. The string can't be loose or else your dreamcatcher won't be simetrical and the final result won't be pretty to see.

I had a difficult time doing my dreamcatcher because I let the string loose so, when I finished it and was about to do a final knot, it was really ugly. It was wobbly and insecure.
When I tried to correct it, it was hard as hell. But I've made it! *clap, clap, clap*

The beads are quite simple to insert. If you try to make a circle with them, like I did, think twice. It wont be a beautiful perfect circle but it will still be pretty. I would recomend to just put the beads wherever you feel like, where you think it looks nice.

If you want to hang it just attach a thread to it (I didn't do it though) and...tcharam!

I hope you liked it. I know it isn't very good or cute but it was my first try, and I think it looks nice even if it is simple.
Let me know in the comments if you try to make one yourself!

Old Friends

So I think I should show you my good old make up, the basic one.
I'm not one of those people who buy make-up once a month. Basically I can't because I don't have the money.
So when I buy make up, I really need to be sure that it's the right one for me, the one I really need.
Present to you my basics

We have:
  • Nivea Ideal Revolution mascara
  • Sephora Nectar Shine hydrating care lipgloss
  • The Body Shop Colourings eye definer
  • Maybelline Affinitone foundation

The first one is almost empty. My mother gave it to me like 4 years ago and since then I have tried to use it as little as possible, because it is by far my favorite. If you guys could tell me a good mascara to replace this one I would be so thankfull!

The second one is the Sephora gloss. I have it for 3 years and I still love it and use it a lot. It has strange taste, but I like it and it gives a nice soft glow to my lips.

The Body Shop eye pencil is 2 years old. From all the eyeliners or eye definers that I have, this is the strongest one. It really gives you a strong, black line that doesn't fade away 1 minute later. The only problem to me is that it breaks easily.

The last one I bought it 1 year ago. I have a really light skin tone so I find it difficult to find a foundation or a concealer that can blend nicely with my tone. This one is a little bit darker but it's quite good.
The problem? The moment you take the lid of, you can't stop it from outpouring, which is highly inconvinient.

What basic makeup do you have?

Plastic Croissant

I've always been obssesed with my weight. I hated to see myself as a chubby or a skinny girl.
I wanted to be a thin but healthy person. And I still want to.
But since early I decided that I will not go through crazy diets or starve myself to death.
Eat healthy, do exercise.
I already do alot of exercise, so I can check that box.
I eat plenty of vegetables and fruits. But I give up to easily! Just now, when I decided I would do a stricted week, a friend gave me this croissant. It's one of those plastic chocolate croissant. It doesn't have the best quality but it still tastes pretty good. You want to eat more and more and never stop.
It's a curse!

So I am going to leave this pretty delicious croissant to my brother.
And I'm promising starting today, to eat fully healthy for a week. I can still eat candies, but little ones.

If you want to join me, you're more than welcome! Maybe I can give the inspiration you need to make your life healthier, or maybe you're the one who is going to do that to me.

Drink plenty of water and stay strong with me!

Accessorize Small Wonders

I am obsessed with  Accessorize and whenever I see a store I need to at least go inside and see the new stuff. The last sunday not only did I saw the new collection, but I've also bought two small items.

1. A golden ring with ears and little black eyes, wich kind of reminds me of Totoro and I think that's one of the reasons why I find it so cute
2. A small ring with an old inspired flower. I use it in my second ear hole, because it's quite small.

Together they costed around 10£.

The other ring you can see is not from Accessorize. A friend of mine gave it to me and I love it, so I included in the picture.
